What it is#
Print sits beside View on the Diary page and on the dashboard's week ahead. It prints the diary as your View settings show it: the hours shown, the team members, by day or by team member, with the travel, breaks and non-working hours as the diary draws them.
When to use it#
When you or your team want the diary on paper: a week on the office wall, a day's run in the van, or a copy saved as a PDF to send.
How to do it#
- Set the diary the way you want it printed with View, the team member filter and By day or By team member.
- Press Print.
- Choose From, the first day to print.
- Choose How far: 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, or a number of days.
- Tick the Team members to print. The ticks start from the team members the diary is showing.
- Press Print. Your browser's print box opens. Choose a printer, or "Save as PDF" to keep a copy.
What your customer sees#
Nothing. A printout is for you and your team.
What happens next#
The pages are A4, landscape. Every page shows the time scale down the left, your business name, the dates covered and the page number, for example "Page 2 of 6", with the key at its foot and each column's total under it, for example "3 visits, 5h 20m". By day, each day starts a new page with each team member in a column; if the team is too wide for one page, the day carries on over the next page with the time scale repeated. By team member, each team member's days go a week to a page.
Confirmed visits are drawn solid and pencilled visits dashed, breaks dotted, travel striped, and the hours outside a team member's day hatched, so the page reads in black and white.
Good to know#
- Access instructions are never printed. A visit with them says "Access notes: see the app".
- Days past the planned window print as the diary shows them there, from each customer's usual pattern.
- Team members can print their own visits from their own page: Print your visits, then From and How far (1 day, 3 days, 1 week or 2 weeks), then Print.
