How the rates work
CPI
The Consumer Prices Index, the government's main measure of inflation. The rate most price reviews follow.
Latest: Loading the latest rate
RPI
The Retail Prices Index, an older measure that usually runs higher than CPI. Use it when an agreement names it.

A percentage
A fixed rise you choose. Use it when your own costs have gone up by more than inflation, or an agreement names a figure.
Questions
How much notice should I give?
Tell customers before the new price starts. RotaRound sets the start date from the day you send plus your notice period, which you choose in Settings. Each agreement can set its own.
Can I make the new price a whole pound?
Yes. The calculator shows the new price to the nearest 10p and to the nearest pound. In RotaRound you can change any new price before you send it.
CPI or RPI?
Either is fair if you say which you used, as the email does. RPI usually runs higher. If an agreement names one, use that one.
