A customer's record on a laptop, showing a property's accepted agreement under its services, with its terms and the buttons to view it and see its history.

Most regular customers are on a handshake, with no notice period and no agreed way to review the price.

Send each customer a written agreement they accept online. It sets the term, the notice and the price review, and the review is prepared for you when it is due.

Accepted online

The customer accepts by typing their name, and you are told when they do.

Build a template

Seven steps build an agreement with a term, notice periods, a price review method and the standard clauses.

The agreement templates, with the standard template and your own.

Also included

  • Write your own. Start from our template and change any clause, or write the whole agreement yourself.
  • Sent by email. The customer gets the agreement under your name and reads it online.
  • A PDF for both. The accepted agreement comes to you and the customer as a PDF, and every version stays in its history.
  • Cooling off. The customer has 14 days to cancel after accepting, and can give notice at any time after that, inside a fixed initial term too.
  • Updates. Add a service or change one and the update goes to the customer, with the email shown before it sends.
  • Ending. End a property or the whole agreement from a date, with an email to the customer if you tick it.
  • Yearly price reviews built in. The Price review the agreement sets is prepared for you when its month comes, and can send itself.

Questions about this feature

What are the agreements?

Written agreements you build from our template or write yourself, with a term, notice periods and a price review at the interval you choose. The customer reads it online and accepts by typing their name. Both of you get the accepted agreement as a PDF. Our templates are a starting point, not legal advice: take your own legal advice before you use one. Read more: What an agreement is

What happens when a customer cancels their agreement?

In the first 14 days after accepting, the customer can cancel straight away from their customer portal. After that they can give notice at any time, inside a fixed initial term too, and the agreement ends at the end of their notice, or on the last day of the initial term if that is later. You are told either way. The visits the agreement covers stop from the end date, and anything outside it carries on. Read more: The cooling-off period
