Free months

What it is#

A free month is a month of RotaRound you do not pay for. Free months can come from a referral, from a code, or from us. They work the same way whatever gave them:

Before your first payment, a free month makes your trial longer by a whole month.
After your first payment, a free month moves your next payment on by a whole month. Nothing is taken for that month, and no part of a month is charged or credited.

Free months add up, to a limit of 6 at once.

When to use it#

Read this when you have been given a free month, to see when it applies and what it means for your next payment.

How to do it#

Open Settings and choose Billing.
Under Free months you see how many you have, for example "You have 1 free month. Your next payment is on 14 February 2027."
Each free month is listed with where it came from, such as "Referred by Willow Lane Gardens", "Code SPRING26" or "From RotaRound".
There is nothing to press. The months are used in order, starting from your trial's end or your next payment date.

What your customer sees#

Nothing. Free months only change what you pay RotaRound.

What happens next#

If you have already paid, RotaRound emails you three days before a free month starts, so you know the payment that day will not be taken. Your next payment after the free months is shown in Billing.

Good to know#

Free months have no cash value. They cannot be swapped for money or moved to another account.
A free month that is being checked shows "(being checked)" until it is given.
If a payment that earned a referral free month is refunded or charged back within 60 days, the free month is taken back. A month already used is not charged.
A free account pays nothing, so free months do not apply to it.
