What a free account is, what Billing shows for it, and why codes and free months do not apply to it.

What it is#

A free account is one RotaRound has agreed you do not pay for. Nothing is taken, and any card on the account is not charged. Only RotaRound can make an account free; there is nothing to turn on yourself.

When to use it#

Read this when you have had the email "Your RotaRound account is now free", or when Billing says "Free account".

How to do it#

  1. Open Settings and choose Billing.
  2. The status says "Free account", and Billing says "You do not pay for RotaRound."
  3. There is nothing to press. Everything in the app works as it always has.

What your customer sees#

Nothing. A free account only changes what you pay RotaRound.

What happens next#

The account stays free until RotaRound changes it. If it ever goes back to paying, during a trial you go back to the trial as it was; after the trial, the app asks you to add a card to carry on. Nothing is charged for the free time.

Good to know#

  • A free account pays nothing, so a code or free months do not apply to it.
  • Your referral link still works, and a business you refer still gets its free months.
  • You can still download your data or close the account from Settings at any time.
