What it is#
You expected a customer's price to be on the Price reviews page and it is not.
The short answer: a price outside an agreement comes up for review on the rule you chose in Settings, by the price's age or by one review month a year, and it appears early by your notice period. A customer in a signed agreement is reviewed by the agreement instead. A price is never due before it is a month old, and a review you deferred comes back on the date you chose.
When to use it#
Use these checks when a customer's price is missing from Price reviews for customers outside agreements, or you want to know when it will appear.
How to do it#
- Open Settings and go to Price reviews. Look at Remind me by:
- Price age: a price is due when it reaches the age in Review prices after (since last price change), less the days in Notice for price changes (days).
- Annual review month: every price comes up from your notice days before the 1st of that month, if it was last reviewed before then, and stays until the end of the year.
- Check when the price last changed. On the customer's record, or in the Last changed column, a recent change starts the clock again.
- Check whether the customer has a signed agreement in force. If they do, their price rises on the agreement's terms and shows under Price reviews set by agreement once the rise is prepared. Only a service kept outside the agreement is reviewed on your Settings rule.
- Check the age of the price. A new price is never due before it is a month old, whatever the rule.
- Check for a deferral. If you pressed Skip this review and chose For a number of months or Until the next review period, the row comes back exactly on that date, with no notice lead.
- Check for a hold. Reviewed, holding price on the record, or Mark reviewed, holding price on the Customers page, counts as a review, so the clock starts again from that day.
What your customer sees#
Nothing until you send a price change. The review list is for you only.
What happens next#
When the price falls due, it appears on Price reviews and on the To do card on your dashboard. Press Review price rise to prepare the change, or Skip this review to defer it.
Good to know#
- Each service has its own review clock, so one customer can have one service due and another not.
- The notice lead means a price change sent the day the row appears takes effect on the review date.
- Price reviews set by agreement only lists rises due in the next 60 days, and a row leaves 30 days after the rise takes effect.
- Price reviews work the same in automatic mode ("Let the diary plan itself") and self mode ("I place visits myself").
