What it is#
Every agreement keeps a record of what was sent, what the customer did, and every update since. You can open the agreement as it stands today, with all accepted changes applied, or go back to any earlier version.
When to use it#
Use it when a customer asks what they agreed to, when you need a copy for your own records, or to check whether a reminder or an update went out.
How to do it#
- Open the customer's record and find the Agreement card. Its badge shows the current state and date, such as Sent with the date, or Not in an agreement.
- For a sent or accepted agreement, the card lists its terms.
- Press View agreement. Before the customer accepts, this shows the document as it was sent. Once accepted, it opens the agreement as it stands today in a new tab, with every change applied.
- To see the full record, press History, which shows how many entries there are.
- History groups entries by agreement, with the latest first and any earlier agreement below it. Each entry is one event, such as Agreement sent for acceptance., a reminder, a resend, or the customer's acceptance.
- On any entry, press View to read that version, or Download PDF to save it.
- An update waiting to go shows Review and send, which takes you to Ready to send.
What your customer sees#
Nothing changes for the customer when you view or download. They have their own copy: the PDF attached to their acceptance confirmation email, and a permanent link to the agreement as accepted.
Their agreement page also shows Updates since it was accepted, The schedule as it stands on the date they open it, and anything Outside the agreement. On their own customer page, under Your agreement, they see the term, the cooling-off period and how prices rise, with a link to view the agreement and its updates.
What happens next#
Nothing is sent. History keeps growing as reminders go, updates are sent and the customer answers. Earlier agreements stay in History after a replacement is sent, so nothing is lost.
Good to know#
- There is no PDF download on the customer's agreement page. You download PDFs from History.
- An agreement the customer declined, or whose link expired, stays in History with what happened.
- Automatic mode and self mode make no difference.
